Users Speak Out About UberNote

I...can't tell you how wonderful your service is. As a writer, I spend COUNTLESS hours on websites like wikipedia, google, ask...trying to gather and research information, only to have to save each snipped in a Word file or write it on a sticky note! I never find these notes again, and it's impossible to tell what is important and what isn't when I'm cleaning my desktop. On UberNote I can keep my notes clean and accessible! I can spill my guts out into a note, and tag it so that I can remember my frame of mind and the purpose for it later.

I'm using it especially for a browsergame I'm playing. This way I can nicely organize all this informations - positions of enemys, whom I attacken when and where, ressources I traded etc. I especially like the tag feature, the search function and the autosave function. I let the ubernote window open all the time, with little notes here and there, without being afraid to lose data. And now I can share my public Informations much more easily!

I use ubernote to store everything I would normally put on a post-it note for both work and personal info. It's a really nice way to keep my workspace clean and I don't have to worry about losing the note or leaving it in a place where I won't be able to use it.
And now with the new "Open Tasks" feature, I've been able to easily keep track of the little things I need to do throughout the day without having to page through a physical notebook for incomplete tasks, and keep the tasks in context with the notes that are necessary to complete the task. For example, while planning my kid's birthday, I copied and pasted the research links, quotes, guest list and various notes in a note called "Birthday Plans" and kept tasks related to the planning (get quote for venue, create guest list, etc.) in the same note.

The Best Tool for Holiday Shopping
Some of our users have told us some great tips on how they use UberNote for holiday shopping.
1. Create lists with all the people you have to shop for and all the gift ideas.
2. Use the Firefox toolbar to select gift ideas and either clip them or bookmark them right into your notes.
3. Access those lists at http://m.ubernote.com while you are at the store!
4. Share the lists of presents you want with people shopping for you. With note sharing, you can update the list without resending the list over and over again.

Finally a Collaborative Grocery List
Yeah that's right, a collaborate grocery list! You know you hear it all the time as a request. It's something everyone wants!
OK, maybe not. But seriously, after our recent updates we discovered it is a real world example where we use UberNote. Grocery lists are a great way to use both shared notes and mobile access functionality. How we used to do it
We always have had a Curious George whiteboard on the refrigerator for our grocery lists. We would write down any item we needed and when we went to the store, copy it down on a piece of paper. With 3 people and the only access to the list from the kitchen, we often forgot items or left things out.
There were also the times I can recall when someone looks at the list and says, "I can remember THOSE items". (It wasn't always the case)
And Now!
With the new features in UberNote, we share a single note between the three of us. That note can be updated by any of us, no matter where we are. From work, remotely, at home. The note often has text from a recipe copied from the Internet that one of us wants to cook, or additional comments on any item on the list.
Of course going to m.ubernote.com give us mobile access to the note while at the store. No more excuses for forgetting items from the store!
Our shared grocery list has really become a place for grocery collaboration and immediate accessibility!
All joking aside, using UberNote for a shared grocery list is a great way UberNote features can be used in everyday life.
Why share a note when I can email?
"Why share a note when I can email?" is a common question we get asked when we talk about note sharing.
The simple answer is that you are working from the same copy. So what does that exactly mean? It means if you are sharing a note, the people you are sharing with can see any updates you make to that note when you make them. You make an update one minute, two days, or three weeks later; they can see it in their notes.
With email, once you send it that's it. You send one copy and if you want to update it you send another copy and another. Maybe they only saw the first one and are acting on what you sent then. Maybe there was a reply with updates or changes and they get lost in the number of emails going back and forth. The fact is, you are working off of different copies. Each email sends a new copy and there is no way to see changes.
With a note in UberNote, you can also see revisions of each time a user makes a change to a note.
It's easy to see that sharing notes in UberNote is the easiest way to collaborate and share information.
