| | So how is ubernote going to take on Google? Google notebook is pretty snazzy, and the login integrates with gmail, etc.... |

| | You're right it is stiff competition. There are plans to extend our offerings and really get deep on this. We will functionally cross over with google notebook but in some ways will compete with other google collaboration apps in the future. There will always be competion, I believe there is value to not being google too. I think our ability to move and react will be faster and I think our vision is slightly different but right now that's not obvious. Thanks for looking out, we are planning to rise past the competition. ; )

| I've tried Google Notebook, and from what I see I like ubernote better. GNote on my computer seems buggy and incomplete. When it's saving notes automatically, half the time it visibly makes the note I'm typing in blink, and often it loses my place in the note. Also, I don't like how it's demanding integration with Google bookmarks. I like being able to make my online 'notebooks' as simple or complex a screen layout as I want, and though I like Google Bookmarks, I find having that list over by my notebook to be distracting.
That's my two cents, at least. I LIKE that ubernote's simple and doesn't have a million bells and whistles. I'm all for an app having the CAPACITY to give everyone the bells and whistles they want, but I like it when I can turn off the ones that I don't personally use. |

| I agree - the Google Notebook interface is not to my liking (nor Google Docs) - I do like the Ubernotes simplicity.
I do hope that as Ubernotes develops that the option to retain the simplicity is retained - as you say by turning off the bells and/or the whistles! |

| | I also prefer ubernote to Gnotebooks. I struggled with adding notes to the correct notebook, of which i had many. last time i tried to use google notebooks, there were no tags so if i was browsing and wanted to add a note, i had to switch to the correct notebook first. b/c i had so many notebooks, the right click "add to google notebook" thingy was practically useless to me. its sooo much easier to just pick the tag(s) i want AND that also allows me to have stuff in multi notebooks on purpose as needed. the task to do thingy is really cool too. |
